STAY AT HOME TO STOP CORONAVIRUS SPREADING
Everyone must stay at home to help stop the spread of coronavirus. The government enforced much more stringent measures on travel and social distancing.
You should now only leave the house for one of two reasons:
-
Shopping for basic necessities - for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible.
-
Travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home.
These two reasons are exceptions - even when doing these activities you should:
-
be minimising time spent outside of the home and;
-
wearing face masks and gloves
-
ensuring you are 2 metres (6ft) apart from anyone outside of your household and;
-
wash your hands/shower as soon as you get home.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED MEDICAL HELP
-
If you have symptoms of coronavirus (a high temperature or a new, continuous cough), use the HOTLINE at 877-WELL (9355)
If you need help or advice not related to coronavirus:
-
for health information and advice, call your GP surgery
-
for life-threatening emergencies, call 811 for an ambulance.
